Tiller & Keel Membership
Becoming a Tiller & Keel Member can save you money and hassle!
For a flat fee of just £145 a year you get two Emergency Call-Outs free of charge plus £30 off your Annual Service bill. You can also save money on our Holiday Check-Up and Pre-Season Clean-Up Services if you pay for them together. We'll deduct £20 from the bill!
As a Member you will also get information about our new services and exclusive offers.
To become a Member, simply fill in the application form below. We will ring you to introduce ourselves and talk about your boat. Once agreed, we'll email you an invoice and, once paid, confirm your Tiller & Keel Membership in writing. Please note that the Membership is applied to a single boat which must be specified in the application form below. If you own a second boat a second Membership will be required.
NOTE: If you are not a Member and require an Emergency Call-Out, you have two choices. You can either ring us and then pay the standard £80 Call-Out fee or you can apply to become a Member, talk it through with us and then pay £170 which will entitle you to a further Call-Out within a year free of charge plus the discounts and benefits described above.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
Following you submitting the completed application (below), you agree to us, at our discretion, assessing your boat prior to accepting your application. Once we have accepted your application you will pay the annual membership fee of £145. By paying you enter into agreement with us for a period of one calendar year on the terms herein but you do have a 14 day cooling-off period to rescind your Membership with a full refund on the condition that you haven't yet required us to carry out any visits or work for you. As soon as we are requested to visit and carry out work for you the Membership cannot be rescinded and remains fully operational up to its renewal at the end of the calendar year. Within your Membership period we agree to respond to up to two call-outs from you free of charge. All materials, however, will be charged. We also agree to deduct £30 from the current cost of your boat's annual service when booked and carried out by us within the Membership period. Other Tiller & Keel Membership offers apply from time-to-time, as published on this website. These may vary or be withdrawn at any time. Your Membership applies to a single boat as specified in your application and cannot be transferred nor applied to a second or subsequent boat. Your Membership works rather like an insurance policy giving you peace of mind that throughout the Membership period Tiller & Keel will respond to up to two emergency call-outs. There is no cash alternative if you do not use any or all of the services covered by Membership. At the end of the Membership period of one year you are relinquished from the agreement and have the choice whether or not to renew it under the terms that will exist at that time.

To arrange any of our services, please first call us on 07801 166303. We will talk through your requirements and, once agreed, set a date and time to visit you. We will then email you an invoice for the basic fee* for the work to be carried out. Once payment is received, we will confirm the booking and email you a receipt. We are a small firm of fully qualified mechanics, engineers, electricians and assistants with decades of experience working with boats of all shapes and sizes. We cover a wide area of local rivers and canals across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire plus parts of London and Hertfordshire.
